Stephen Thompson I grew up mostly in Hawick, in the Scottish Borders, where I went to school, and went on to gain a BA(Hons) in Philosophy and postgraduate qualifications in IT. I now run a small IT and website company based from my home in Dumfries, where I live with my family. I have been a member of the SNP for many years, and was encouraged to put myself forward as a candidate for the local council elections in 2012 for Annandale North, to ensure SNP representation in the Ward at the polls. As a member I am happy to serve the aims of the SNP, in particular to gain independence for Scotland, something that will allow us to protect and control our future, whatever the government of the day. As a person I have been granted a duty and commitment to working as hard as I can to serve Annandale North as a representative at local government.
