Divided or United Kingdom?

The people of Scotland voted to remain in the EU, with every single one of the 32 Local Authority areas voting to remain, including Dumfries and Galloway, one of the last to declare. Whatever the old negative stereotypes of Scotland were, today it has shown itself to be a modern, outward-looking and inclusive country.

It would be democratically unacceptable for Scotland to be taken out of the EU, and looking at the breakdown of voting across the other countries within the UK, constitutional questions abound.

There is no doubt that this result represents a significant and material change in circumstances for Scotland and a second independence referendum must be considered.

    1. AGREED. Let’s build a stronger case that reaches out to more people. We are blessed with a forward looking First Minister who is showing good, positive and inclusive leadership.
