Lockerbie is the largest town in Annandale North ward and is taking the most time to leaflet! I spent several hours around the north west of town along Sydney Place, Broomhouse Road and Gala Park, across from Lockerbie Primary School. Another SNP Member was leafletting in the south of town and around Leonard Crescent.
I’ll be back there today to deliver a few more, especially after the trouble with the bins! We had been offered advertising space by a private company who let space on bins in Lockerbie but it turns out that after a complaint was made to the Elections Office for a dayglo SNP poster, this could be seen as a breach of guidelines. I’ve contacted the company concerned and they have promised to remove them as soon as possible so my apologies for any offence caused to those concerned.
Some of the SNP members are gathering at the Kings Arms in town on Saturday, where we’ll have some information and wee flags to give out. Big thanks to the Orrs who assembled about a thousand of them!
